[quote:2c87211841="memphisjohn"]I have had Aparicio listed as a Round 7 pick since last night and he is still sitting there on my proxy page. SHould I make him a round 8 pick for purposes of Penn's site?[/quote:2c87211841]

spicki is right, if you pick him now, the site will just fill the empty draft slot in round 7.

bigm, much as i'd like you to have him, you have to drop sanguillen. he's a 70's catcher in your infield which has 82' yount at ss...unless robin's dh'ing,,,which i seriously doubt.
as a reminder, please post decades here when making a pick so we have some vague hope of keeping track of this.
i don't really see foggy's rule clarification as all that restrictive...if you're thinking of using a guy sp/rp as a starter at all...he's gotta be from the same decade as your starters. the confusing thing is this THIRD decade if you want to use him as both...but actually, it gives you more flexibility, not less....unless you've run out of usable decades.

Re: Sanguillen, I thought Foggy had amended the decade rule to include C as a separate decade category. I'll look for the post.

Meat, you don't like Sanguillen in a pitcher's park? He's 1) a 2 defensively, 2) has a -2 arm., and - not insignificantly in this league - 3) is black. :?

[quote:03bcfe0d89]ALL OF YOUR SPS/RPS MUST BE IN THE SAME DECADE. THIS MEANS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: (A) SAME DECADE AS SP, (B) SAME DEACADE AS RP, OR (C) A DECADE DISTINCT FROM SP AND RP.[/quote:03bcfe0d89]

this is from the first page, the rules page. now this is being changed. i dont think its right to change this rule this late.

[quote:f7be0976bb="uncle ny"]Fog's on his way to lose his house in AC. We're discussing my rule as he's driving. He thinks a clarification is in order: Cathers need to be in a differnet decade than any other group (ie, infielders, outfielders, rp's, sp's). BUT cather is part of the infield for purposes of the iron glove rule. His prior clarification was incorrect and he humbly asks for everyone's forgiveness.[/quote:f7be0976bb]
Here it is.

I paused the draft pending the clarification. I made the pick in good faith based on the post I quoted, so it was not a "mistake". Don't want to lose any more NL picks waiting for a clarification.

Catchers HAVE to be a different decade than your IF. It is only for the Iron Glove that they are considered part of the IF.

Sanguillen is fine

And BTW, Sanguillen ROCKS! one of my favorite small ball catchers. :D
