the rule was that sp's, sp/rp's, and rp's had to be in different decades or that the sp/rp's could be in either the sp or the rp decade. now the rule has changed so that if you have sp/rp's in a separate division that they wont be pure sp's or pure rp's. i guess that means spot starters that relieve or something. im not even sure i get it.

some how my proxy fired off before MR_BBW made his pick giving me 2 7th round picks. I dropped the second one which needs to be approved.

bigm, I stand corrected, sanguillen is perfectly legal, and you misunderstood, I was sincere, I wanted you to have him for your sake, not because I didn't think he was valuable. and yes, like clemente and most dark skinned latinos, they never could have played before 1947, so in spirit, he is black.
the sp/rp rule as re-stated from the original rulebook looks like the new explanation...no? my feeble interpretation is if you've got an sp/rp who's in your rotation, he should be same decade as sp....if he's in your pen, he should be in their decade...if he's gonna spot start and relieve, he's got to be in one or the other, or a seperate decade from any of your positions including starters and relievers. if this interpretation is accurate, it actually gives you more flexibility with swing guys instead of being more restrictive.

well this just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser. atleast you know no one else can pick him, but phillipe seems to have dissappeared as quickly as your extra 7th round pick appeared.
