I like a good debate, but haven't we heard this one a couple times before? In the interest of time, can't someone just post a link to Semper's arguments from after the 1st and 2nd rounds  ?

Schedule of Events

Postby Jimmy_C » Sun Oct 22, 2006 6:30 pm

So here is the schedule of events so far...

Friday 10/20...Both leagues finished and 12 finalists determined.
Saturday 10/21...Useless discussion about changing the way Jablowmi was setting up the divisions.

[quote:a7dfc8ebf8]congrats to all the finalists. for the past brackets, i had done the following:

E - 1,6,7,12
C - 2,5,8,11
W - 3,4,9,10
[/quote:a7dfc8ebf8]

Not sure how the above could be any clearer...

Sunday 10/22...We did nothing.

I will open the league up in the morning and send password out after. Just someone post who is in the East with me, I don't want to screw this up.

Ironically, that was my best team and best GMing job of the three...we were undone by an untimely 7 or 8 game losing streak in the 2nd to last week and a blown save from Mark Davis (who had a great season otherwise) on the 2nd to last night...I feel like Nick Nolte in Blue Chips, "You know when I did my best coaching job? It was last season! Those kids gave me everything they had! They played to the maximum of their ability! And it just wasn't good enough! Not for you, not for me, not for anybody! There are two words I thought would never come out of my mouth...never thought I would say 'em...I quit!"

Seriously, though, that was a lot of fun. Thanks for organizing.

Just talked to Semper. He's out of town right now. He'll enter his team as soon as he can.

Loaded my team in the East (2 still missing) from Starbucks or whatever this place is called near Times Square - but it is hip.

[quote:6caec94e79]I don't care how we set the divisions but It was decided after the rules were printed that we would just go by the seedings. Jimmy C just copied the original rules which weren't changed when we went to the divisions based solely on seedings. [/quote:6caec94e79]

I'm lazy and just followed Jimmy's posting. It (records vs. rankings) seemed reasonable to me. :D
