Left some proxies for Sykes, as I will be out most of the day. Should be back around 4-5pm EST. Hopefully, Sykes will get to use a couple of them :)

I have interest in Hendu. I have Grubb, Milner, Puhl and Nettles. Right now I have 3-4 platoons established.

Nettles is a fan favorite in Hoboken, so it may be tough to move him as Wallach slides to 1B to start next season.

Free Agents

Postby BC Manager » Sat Oct 29, 2005 2:45 pm

A reminder that your 84 AD card can include free agents from the end of the 83 season. That is, players who are eligible for 84 but not on a roster at the end of 83. (Eligible = first year, 84 or after; last year, 84 or later). And of course, 0.75 players are all free agents.

Here's how you look for free agents (2 methods):

- enter the Back to 83 league from "Your Other Teams"
- paste: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/80s/trade/release_pickup_option.html
- search away - the FA's listed were all FAs at the end of 83 (keep the list sit at "available" and not "all")

Or (for T.Rich, who didn't have an 83 team):

- go to: http://www.strato.berce.us/
- enter your user id# from 83, or enter 50940 (Dingo's)
- search away (again remember to use "available")

Excel File of 80's Players with First and Last Years

Postby YountFan » Sat Oct 29, 2005 5:24 pm

Here is my 80's players excel file. Right click on link below and select Save Target As...

There is a Hitters and a Pitcher worksheet. The columns labeled FY and LY are the first and last years on their card. You can use the autofilter drop down to select a year. This will be useful when looking for free agents during the season also .

85 looks pretty good. To bad we won't get there until 2008 with the way this draft is going.

Postby BC Manager » Sat Oct 29, 2005 7:35 pm

YF, I downloaded your spreadsheet, but don't see FY/LY anywhere on it. Are you sure you uploaded/linked the right one?
