If it is a mystery card game, I'm in, if not, ...

Players to watch for.

Bobby Murcer, six 20+ HR seasons and an OBP of .427 in 1971.

How about Big John Mayberry and Otto Velez from the '78 Jays

and the guy we've all been waiting for Mario Mendoza, 148 games in 1979 and a .198 batting average for Seattle, the infamous Mendoza line.

I'm assuming it won't be called "Back to the 70s". I believe the 80s game was titled, "Back to..", in reference to the 80s movie, Back to the Future.

So, anyone want to guess or propose a name for the 70s game? Any applicable Disco or Peter Frampton songs that would make a good title for the 70s mystery card game? :D

The larger than the BTT80's player pool should make theme leagues even more possible!

A few guys nobody (I think) has mentioned:

Brooks and Frank Robinson
Yaz
Thurman Munson--and Reggie when he was the straw that stirred the drink
Mark Belanger (the Ozzie of the 70's?)
Ron Santo
Billy Williams
Ralph Garr!!
Fergie Jenkins
Roy White
Eck the SP
Mondo Gossage
Jimmy Wynn, the Toy Cannon
Joe Rudi
Mike Marshall
Joe Morgan
Clemente? (70's BAs: .352. .341, .312)

Nettles will be a 1; maybe also Randolph; Maz??

...should be interesting

that someone's already mentioned Johnny Bench? Dave Parker was, eh, an okay player.

Rennie Stennet will have a good season or two (pre-injury). Tekulve was good at end of 70s.

roofinghorse: I don't know if this'll do it for you or for anybody else thinking about those old cards, but here's a link to my site that's taking the 1970s cards one by one back out of my old shoe box:
