In this game there is no doubt that Robin Yount is the best. Yount fits any ballpark and is a 1 at a premium defensive position.

However trying to draft Yount is a risky business. If you do draft him you have got to put him #1 to have any chance. Even then you may not get him and since CF is the first position listed on his card you would get a CF like Eric Davis as a replacement pick. That would leave you with an extra OF and no starting SS. All the other good SS's would probably be gone and you could then be using a 3 fielding SS or one of the 75¢ 2's.

In my most recent draft I ranked Yount #1 and Trammell #2 hoping to get at least one of them but I missed on both.

Rickey

Henderson is the best run producer in the set, due to his OBP and base stealing. Practically gaurantees 100 runs scored.

Yount is the best overall player due to his ability to play SS (a 1!) and the OF. His running is great, he hits for average and power. A great overall player, but I would draft Henderson ahead of Yount.

Jack Clark is a fantastic hitter, but problematic in the field (except at RF, where he's acceptable).

I'm not saying he's better than Yount, but I would take Winfield over Rickey. Great defense in RF or LF and great offense too. No bad cards. I've had his weakest year twice and kept it all season, getting good stats and thinking I had a better season. Brett, of course, deserves a mention--arguably, he's really the best of all. Arguably, his 80 card is the best in the whole set.

But, having worked through all of these great hitters, I'd finally put my money on Clemens.

He's my favorite draft pick. Never fails to score over a 100 runs. He's a great insurance policy for CF also.
