Cards not the same

I am fairly new to the online strat only have on team to finish a league. I played face the face thru the 80's and thought the cards did not look the same so i dug out some of my old cards. I knew the 81 cards were not the same and i was right. the online cards are nothing like the ones they used in 81. I do understand why after thinking about it, in 81 there were no ball park effects and I if I remeber right ball park effects did not show up until the 90's. may be wrong on that.

there was also some season(s) in the early 80s where all of the hits on a pitcher's card appeared in column 4. according to the "strat" book, everyone was pizzed off.

BP effects showed up in the '85 set, I think. I remember playing with BP effects in place that season with my face to face table top games.

If not '85 then it is '84.

Strat re-issued the 78 set with the super-advanced cards (which I have). I'm pretty sure the 78 season cards in Back to the 80s are the same as the super advanced 78 card set.
