Does anyone feel sorry for the Central division? They have the 3 best teams, based on W/L record, and one of them will fail to make the playoffs.

3rd place in the Central still has a better record than any team in the other divisions and 4th place beats/ties everyone but dr. x in the West. Only dr. x is above .500 outside of the Central division!

:? I beg to differ! I am ONE game over .500 in the East, and one game ahead of goffchile!

What a crazy season!!!!! The East division has been like trying to wade through quicksand -- no one has been able to get any traction.

This has been crazy--I am one under .500, but in last place and five games out. I thought my team would have good pitching, but they sure aren't playing like it.

I won a game last night on 2 hits - both of which were HR. :)

6 days & 18 games later and 3rd place in the Central is still better than 1st in either of the other 2 divisions.

tycobb is lucky in the sense that even being swept, and 13 below .500 he is still only 6 games out 1st.

Every division remains tight, with 3rd place no further than 4 games back. In other words 9 teams could change position on any given night!

A hot streak in the next couple of weeks could be huge for the team that gets it!

What my team needs to do is get on base more frequently. I've got 3 guys with 40+ OBP chances vs. RHP with current OBP under .320 against RHP. It is like they are just sitting around waiting for Hornsby & Maris to do all the work!

Still a pretty tight league - with no team more than 9 games out of first. The Central continues to dominate, with all 4 teams at .500 or above.
