Theme of the Month Club-

Who is Fox, hopefully not Jimmie Foxx. I put the players lower on my draft card that I didn't see anyone else have posted at the time. I knew I should had let Kev post his at number 11 and I could have posted at number 12 then. So here is my very strange looking top 10:

1. Mantle
2. Parker
3. Canseco
4. Jim Jackson
5. Al Weiss
6. Don Wert
7. Pete Vuckovich
8. Jack Baldschun
9. Jack Billingham
10. Joe Dawson

My bottom 9:
Bench
Durham
Henderson
Foxx
Trammell
Doyle
Butler
Gallego
Deberry

Fox? Nellie Fox - 2B.

Tom.

Could be a battle for Terry - hope I GET HIM

Pitching? YES --- ALL OF MY teams seam to be REALLY hitting heavy - SO - I decided to try something different - a team that isn't 11th or 12th in PITCHING 8)

It looks like I lost Vuckovich, Al Weis & Jim Jackson to Assimeriten. (IN TOTAL, I ACTUALLY NETTED ONLY 14 OF MY 25 DRAFTED GUYS) :x :x

Sykes and I have a Battle Royale brewing over our Number 3 pick - Roger Maris. (DAMN-SYKES BEATS ME AGAIN)

On a lighter note, I think I should get Hank Aaron, whom I always seemed to miss out on in ATG II. (OOPS-I DIDN"T GET MY #1 GUY-I MISSED THAT KEV HAD HIM LISTED)

Hey Joel - why do the Cubs players from the Durocher era get the "first name only" treatment on your list??

LOL! I was the last to post my team and I'm first in the waivers!! You guys had all the guys I wanted.......but I went after them anyway! All-in-all, I'm happy on getting some key guys I really wanted (Aaron-Grich-Bench)! I will get another key player with my 1st FA pick. My team will crush the ball, but my pitchers will be ERA-challenged!!

I actually got Ronnie but lost Bowa- am happy to get 22 of 25. Will probably redo my pitching staff and add some speed. Mr. Steroids(McGwire) will be cut.

November theme starting today as September theme is closing out.

How tight can that be.

Game 7 of the Championship. This is after Tom and I finished the regular season tied with the best record and both had run differential of 3 runs (me 82, Tom 79).
Now we both have won 6 games in the playoffs after somehow my worst starter pitched a combined 1 hitter last night. Guess it helped the Mr. Mantle was injured and out for the duration. Consequently, the Bambino is playing like Mario Mendoza with zero dingers and a .188 BA.

Good luck in the finals and may the Bambino take a nap before the big game tonight.
