Scabs Are Better

Sorry about the sweep Jeep! I need every win I can to hold off the pesky Experimentals who are breathing down my neck!! (I like Milezd.....but breathing down my neck  ).

Anyway, I'm more sorry about getting shut out by Brad Penny than the sweep. That is just embarrasing!!

Doc, congrats.....your McScrubbertons are no longer a laughing stock! They are scoring runs in bushels. Someone needs to check those bats!!! My wine collection is missing all of their corks!!

Yes, just what I love happened last night. Win a 14-4 blowout and lose the other two games by 1 run each. [i:6e568eb710]That [/i:6e568eb710]puts me in a good mood...anyone want to join me for tea this afternoon?

Well, I thought Doc and his Scrubbertons were going to vault to the .500 mark! However, after I had made my prediction of Scrubberton greatness, his team has stalled!!! Sorry Doc.

My team, led by stalwarts like Rod Barajas and Ricky Ledee is somehow on top. These Scrub leagues always gives us some good laughs:

Leader in doubles: O. Palmiero- 44
Triples: Betancourt- 16
Homeruns: Thames- 44
Hitting streak- A. Hill- 23
OBP- Singleton- .405
Wins- Radke-16
Losses- Weaver- 20
ERA- Papelbon- 2.83
Strikeouts- Wuertz- 195

I've come to the conclusion that Scabs may not be better after all.

Big series against the division leading Bears tonight. I need to win the series (at least) and gain a game. I was able to chop a few games off of that lead recently, but it's stayed close to the same now for the last week or so.

My 5 game division lead got chopped down to two in one night!! Those darn Experimentals have been beating me up all season!! Somebody must be beating them....otherwise I wouldn't be ahead of them. I will pay $50 to the guy who tells me how to beat Milezd and his Experimentals!!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby KEVINEHLE » Wed Nov 01, 2006 10:07 am

I have a 2 game lead over the Experimentals! However, after looking at our head to head games..................my Play for Food team is an UNBELIEVABLE 1-14 against the Experimentals!!!!

This has to be a first in SOM history!! To be 13 games under .500 against a division opponent and be 2 games ahead of them for 1st place is mathematically puzzling!! :? :? :? :?

The disturbing thing is that I have to play them 9 more times down the stretch!
