Poison Order and Who Gives to Who

[b:cece7bbadb]1-Seanreflex gives to YountFan [/b:cece7bbadb]
G) Owner giving pill will assign 4 players that reciever owner must attempt to draft and those players will remain on that team for the entire season.
Of the 4 players 2 must be hitters (1 must be used as a starting player), 1 must be a starting pitcher (pill receiver may use either 4 or 5 man rotation), and 1 must be a reliever. In the case that a player assigned was draft by another team, the pill giver can substitute another player of equal or lesser dollar amount during the preseason process and the pill receiver must make room on their roster for the substituted player.
.......Player 1 -- STARTING PITCHER: MARK LANGSTON $7.07
...... Player 2 -- RELIEF PITCHER: OROSCO (NYM # 47) $5.10
.......Player 3 -- HITTER 1: ELLIS VALENTINE $5.18
.......Player 4 -- HITTER 2: DWAYNE MURPHY $4.73

[b:cece7bbadb]2-Icemen gives to T.Rich [/b:cece7bbadb]
H) The starting lineup and at least more than half of the entire pitching staff must consist of all non-caucasian players. Bench players may be of any color. (Commissioner Note - My apologizes for the lack of P.C. in this pill, if I have offended anyone reading this, please accept my apologizes and know that no ill will or defamation was intended)

[b:cece7bbadb]3- Rooksa1958 gives to Sykes[/b:cece7bbadb] - [b:cece7bbadb]Only draft from AL West:[/b:cece7bbadb] Kansas City, California, Chicago W'Sox, Minnesta, Oakland, Seattle, Texas
b. You may only have players on your roster at all times from a certain division (AL East, AL West, NL East, NL West - as in effect in the 1980's), unless non-specificed division player was traded for. - The veteran giving this pill may select whichever division.

[b:cece7bbadb]4- Sykes gives to Rooksa1958[/b:cece7bbadb]
J) At least $10M must be in bank at all times. If at any time the amount in bank is less than this reserve amount, then the owner must release a player to reach this reserve amount. You can not trade to get to this amount, but a trade may keep you at this amount or may temporarily put you below this amount and at which point you must release a player to get to this point.

[b:cece7bbadb]5- T.Rich gives to Icemen[/b:cece7bbadb]
I) All 75 cent starting pitchers. And pill giver can choose stadium team will play in.
Ice I felt you were reasonbly kind to me and with the choices left with the exception of a couple of softballs I thought this was the kindest. [b:cece7bbadb]Murphy for a stadium.[/b:cece7bbadb]

[b:cece7bbadb]6- YountFan gives to Seanreflex[/b:cece7bbadb] - Mr Reflex Welcome to [b:cece7bbadb]Royals Stadium[/b:cece7bbadb]
A) Pill receiver can only draft and have on their roster (including bench players) players who have a fielding rating of 3 or greater (catchers do not apply, however only catchers with worse than 0 arsm can be used). Pill giver chooses stadium team will play in. (Pitchers do not apply as well)

[quote:d392d9c14c="Sykes25"]That's ok. Kingdome it shall be.

If you were going to punish me, you should have given me the AL central.[/quote:d392d9c14c]

Yeah sykes, your team would have had ZERO players. There was no AL Central in the 80's. The AL West is a spotty bunch, but somehow you'll come out smelling like Hoboken

I assume they cannot be a Tim Raines playing CF. All their positions MUST be 3 or greater.

Adam, YountFan,

I need to do some homework, but it seems it might be extremely difficult to field a roster if the players have to be 3 or higher on ALL defensive positions.

when I read this poison pill, I almost assigned it to you, YF, but I thought, "hey, this is the same as our hitting vs pitching deux league, that's not too bad"

Let me know what your decision is, Adam, so I can get my team built. Thanks,

Sean

That is a mis-statement and part of Sean's miltary doublespeak. Come on Sean, you were in the Corp, you've had worse than this.

[quote:e399609c77]actually, except for CF, its not that bad. As you start to look at it closely, you realize there are alot of players that can hit in Royals that meet the "3 or over" requirement on the fielding.[/quote:e399609c77]

Which is? "extremely difficult" or "its not that bad"

YF,

I accept, without argument, or challenge, the poison, in its full dose. My draft card will have NO defensive 1 or 2 at ANY positions for ANY of my players. My catchers will have + arm ratings.

My pitching will kick some serious butt. The fact that I've made the playoffs with 5 Royals Stadium teams, and won a championship there, gives me the confidence to do well in this league also.

I'm looking forward to the league getting started. It will be a good opportunity for me to explain to all the rookies why i have to continually drop players looking for SOMEBODY that can actually field the ball.

One thing I forgot to tell you -- yes, I was in the military, but I'm also a salesman. I couldn't just lie down and let you punish me with your poison, without at least pleading my case to the judge

Good luck to all. To the rookies, may you learn much. To the veterans, may you lose often !!

YF,

it wasn't "doublespeak" ... in my first message I stated, "I need to do some homework" .... in my message to you, I had begun that homework, and it is indeed, "not that bad" ...

the great things about the theme leagues, and about the poison, is it forces us to study the players, and to try players we may otherwise never even CONSIDER playing.

I can tell you this -- this team will have NONE of my "old faithful" players that I draft all the time ...

May I get a definition of teams I can choose from?

I was going with OAK, TEX, CAL and SEA.
