Poison Order and Who Gives to Who

G) Owner giving pill will assign 4 players that reciever owner must attempt to draft and those players will remain on that team for the entire season.
Of the 4 players 2 must be hitters (1 must be used as a starting player), 1 must be a starting pitcher (pill receiver may use either 4 or 5 man rotation), and 1 must be a reliever. In the case that a player assigned was draft by another team, the pill giver can substitute another player of equal or lesser dollar amount during the preseason process and the pill receiver must make room on their roster for the substituted player.

J) At least $10M must be in bank at all times. If at any time the amount in bank is less than this reserve amount, then the owner must release a player to reach this reserve amount. You can not trade to get to this amount, but a trade may keep you at this amount or may temporarily put you below this amount and at which point you must release a player to get to this point.

I assume they cannot be a Tim Raines playing CF. All their positions MUST be 3 or greater.

I need to do some homework, but it seems it might be extremely difficult to field a roster if the players have to be 3 or higher on ALL defensive positions.

when I read this poison pill, I almost assigned it to you, YF, but I thought, "hey, this is the same as our hitting vs pitching deux league, that's not too bad"

That is a mis-statement and part of Sean's miltary doublespeak. Come on Sean, you were in the Corp, you've had worse than this.

I accept, without argument, or challenge, the poison, in its full dose. My draft card will have NO defensive 1 or 2 at ANY positions for ANY of my players. My catchers will have + arm ratings.

My pitching will kick some serious butt. The fact that I've made the playoffs with 5 Royals Stadium teams, and won a championship there, gives me the confidence to do well in this league also.

I'm looking forward to the league getting started. It will be a good opportunity for me to explain to all the rookies why i have to continually drop players looking for SOMEBODY that can actually field the ball.

One thing I forgot to tell you -- yes, I was in the military, but I'm also a salesman. I couldn't just lie down and let you punish me with your poison, without at least pleading my case to the judge :lol:

the great things about the theme leagues, and about the poison, is it forces us to study the players, and to try players we may otherwise never even CONSIDER playing.

I can tell you this -- this team will have NONE of my "old faithful" players that I draft all the time ...
