My question must have been unclear. As we are using an autodraft format, I assume that we are to purchase our respective teams and submit our draft selections just like any standard league (maybe I'm wrong about this). If correct, how do we insert our handicap selection since it is not a player?

Joe, it's up to the manager to make sure their team meats the requirements of their handicap. If you have the handicap with 3 starters totaling 13 defensively and someone beat you to the 5 rated catcher you wanted in the autodraft, you have to go get another sieve behind the plate during the FA period. If you have the handicap with a closer under 1Mil, and someone else gets Dingman, who you wanted to fulfil your obligation, you have to get another closer under 1Mil (so list Dingman high on your draft card if you want him, for example). The handicaps are not built into the autodraft. You just have to git 'er done.

hmmmm...arod, or the most generous, in your opinion, handicap...not sure i'd want first pick. but would love to be in top three or four. me being the gm should be more than enough handicap for my team. :(
