I responded earlier, but I just had a virtually perfect draft in Jaser D Round II. It is a vet laden draft, so I gave priority to bargain players as they seem to go higher in vet laden leagues. I took a chance placing Helton ans Rolen in the middle of my card. Whether or not this results in a good team is yet to be seen, but I got almost every key player. Playing in Yankee Stadium.

I got 13 of the 14, missing Huff, who I took as a fallback figuring he would not be drafted in a non-DH League. Not a conventional draft card, but 13 of 14, while only missing on the most expendable guy is about as good as it gets. I didn't draft a catcher, as I like Varitek and he seems to go undrafted(which he did). I figured I could pick him in waivers if I missed on Helton or Rolen. Ended up with #5 waiver pick.
What is the best way to draft?

I usually just try to spend about 75% of my money on right handed hitters who crush lefty pitching. Ramon Hernandez, Marcus Giles, guys like that. I spend another 20% on hard lefty pitching, and then the rest goes towards filling in holes. Sometimes I get lucky and my division will be all Shea stadiums, except for me. The rest of the time I mope.
