Iron Gloves - Must have at least 2 "4" rated defensive starters (not counting pitchers), one in the OF, one in the IF, AND no more than 2 "1" rated starters, one in the OF, one in the IF. BUT (and it's a big BUT) if you have no "1" rated fielders at ANY position, the "4" requirement is waived[/quote:3ecf126461]

[b:3ecf126461]doctor tax[/b:3ecf126461] has 3 1's in defense. even if you say mays is exempt from the 1's rule (which he isnt), you still cant have two 1's in the infield. per the rule, only one 1 in the if, and only one 1 in the of.

[b:c0b3d1637a]foggy[/b:c0b3d1637a], you cant have jim jackson on your team...hes a AA. and, since you havent posted a roster or list of eligible players, im just wondering if you are playing downing at catcher? if so, you cant, because your OF is already 70s OF, so catcher cannot be 70s too.

Sorry gents.... thought Mays was exempt so I wll look to replace either Burleson or Cochrane. My bad in the rules reading

Plus, I am confused with Big's pitchers. He is using 3 decades. Is that kosher. I understand how it is set up, and it is cool with me, but it llooks like those SP/RP would have to start, so they should n=be with the starting pitcher decade. :?: :?: :?:

Just asking the question :)

Lonnie Frey replaces Gehringer. Frey is a 40's 2B with a 2 rating. I've also dropped Demaree in favor of Lefty Williams. Frey will also take Gehringer's spot in the batting order.

The ruling was that SP, SP/RP, and RP could all be separate decades, but your SP/RPs, but if you chose to go that route, they ALL had to be from the third decade. So you couldn'T have 1 SP from the 40s, two SP/RPs from the 30s and another SP/RP from the 40s, even though he was a starter.

That was my understanding.

Not really sure what you said there Rick, but I think it means I'm OK. I only have 3 SP/RPs. 2 of them are in the rotation and one is decade exempt.

Re-reading it, I confused even myself, but I would thin you're fine. Same thing I did, actually.

[b:ad0a75331a]big mac [/b:ad0a75331a]- you are fine. your team looks legitimate to me.

so what is the penalty and/or what are we going to do if these 2 remaining teams arent in accordance by first night of games?
