Why is this happening?

I keep trying to set Mariano Rivera to "do not use before 8th inning" and this keeps coming up:

"You already have one other pitcher set to "Avoid using before 8th inning".
You may not have more than one pitcher designated as such."

This is not the case. I have NO other pitchers with that setting. Why can't I get this to work?

well a) double check that you dont on every pitcher.

b) is Rivera alreayd set to avoid before 8th. If he is, and you try to change another setting, it gives that error. You have to uncheck the avoid before 8th option the save, then re-set it.

c) if none of the above is true, you probably dropped another pitcher who was set to avoid before 8th and you are caugt in a bug and need to contact tsn

Its a bug. You have to save the pitcher settings so that no one has "Avoid using before 8th inning" checked. Then you can select 1 pitcher to apply that setting to. Basically you have to reset the system, so that no one has that setting checked.

Ok thanks. No, I quadruple checked it and nobody else was set to that. I think I got it straightened out now. Thanks again.

It's called the "Joe Torre Playoff Bug". He keeps warming him up in the 7th inning and tries to get him in before the 8th.
