Do you mess with success?

Do you mess with success?

My team is doing well. 9 games in first, but I have a couple players who arent really performing. Do I leave things alone cause I'm winning or should I try to improve anyways?

I think I'm in the same boat as you are here, mine is at 53-31. and two or three are underporforming, however, Ias it stands right now, i am trying to move one of thoose players via trade. maybe you should consisder that route before droppping on taken a hit(20%) also be helpful if you post a link to your team, and the other teams in your division home parks, it will give a better understanding to the poeple here to answering your question.

well, I would also do 2 other things first...

look over your schedule of games played already.

1) How did you do vs your division? those are the guys you will play the most, so you need to do well vs them.

2) How did you do vs the other probable playoff contenders. These are the guys you will face in the playoffs, and will need to beat to win a title. If your team already stacks up well vs them, and you are winning, I'd leave well enough alone.

I third what roscoe, geekor, and ET said! Listen to the voice of experience, been there, done that and flamed myself when the team went south.

Agreed streak! If I have a team that is kikking butt.....I never make any moves. You just don't know how the team as a whole will react. I am not talking team chemistry on a computer game but you never know when you might have the perfect mix. Even though someone may not be contributing offensively, they may be a strength on defence or some other way that does not show itself that easily.

Update

Dont mess with it, dont even think about it. Since posting, I have gone 5-10 and am pretty much assured of my first losing week of the season. I apologozie to HAL for any offense by even considering making changes to my lineup. I will forever be happy with the wins I receive and not be greedy about wanting more.
