This team missed the playoffs, but had the 3rd best run differential in the league and missed the wild card by one game to a team that was only +19 runs. Fewest HRs hit in the league, best ERA.

Still trying to win it all with small ball, which I love. My overall win pct. is pretty good, but having trouble making it into the playoffs. Just chance? I'll keep tryin'!

88 wins, lost in semi's. 1st in pitching, last in hitting by almost 50 runs. Only scored 604 all season. I'm going to keep trying also.

Good to know there's another small-ball guy out there!

PS--link doesn't work, dj. I'd like to see that team, if you get a minute to fix the link. :)

It can be done, but it's probably tough. It seems somewhat like 200x used to be, where if you get the right sluggers and throw some non-#HR pitchers out there, your team will at least be decent. I have won smallball style in ATG(happens often), 200X and in the 80's. I had a 2006 team win swiping 478 bases and last in HR and another win 96 regular season games with a 3.14 ERA. I looked at the wrong team(Bombers vs Bomb Squad) for my post. I actually finished 10th in runs. I think I'll try again tonight. My squad was lefty biased due to lack of decent RH players available and was exposed in the semi's when the other guy had Lolich.

Heck yeah it can be done...Here is a team that won it all....Over 300 SB and lots of speedsters made this a fun team to manage.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for the publicity - been off the boards recently.

My pitchers park team lost in the semi's, but I mismanaged my starters at the very end, which may have been the cause.

I cannot comment on my current slugger team in a DH league, due to the possibility of a jinx.

I am getting the idea that you need a team loaded with HR andd OBP to win in this format. Pitching is so deep that you can get by picking some up off the waiver wire..........
