81! Neat-o, this last week week we've hit around 90 here in socal :(

Me no like-a da' heat.

Back to GBB-Grr: My team is hitting better than expected... my pen is holding it's own... but my stud closer and 3 Stud SPs are not resulting in enough wins :|

Hah! I did it! I managed to use the seldom used :|

It's 18 here, with a forecast high of 35. It was 70 on Wednesday, but that already seems like a distant memory (sort of like those winning records I had in '01 and '02'). Probably won't see 70 again until April. But we do have 10,000 lakes....all frozen.

I lost two out of three..... and gained a game in the standings. Crazy standings, everyone within 8 games of one another. Is that parity, 2006 SOM style?

My pitching staff gave up an incredible [b:9e7587b5d3]49 [/b:9e7587b5d3]runs last night.

That's got to be some kind of record for me. Hope it was just an aberration.

Nobody is running away from anyone in this league, which is no surprise. Usually, however, there's one team even in Vet Leagues that seem to run away with that .650 win percentage, but not here so far.

Anywho, fun league for sure and it's good to have Lee back and in my Division. Lee, you were gone too long my friend, I missed your competition a lot. That said, I hope I beat you to a bloody pulp.

And C2 yes I'm fully aware of your presence, trying to stay under the radar methinks, one game behind Lee. Well park your Stealth, I see you loud and clear lurking, hanging on, ready to pounce. You shall be beaten, too!

8)

Man! I'm still trying to dig out of my 2-13 start! My team has played 4 Games over .500 since that time....but it ain't enough!!!
I need to get on a roll and sweep someone!! Who will it be??? It's just a matter of time. I'll have to check my schedule for Jeep and C2 sightings!! :D

Hey fellas'...

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Mon Nov 13, 2006 11:29 am

Just got back late on Friday and had my ususl double shift weekend. I spent the last week in Connecticut because my son had been missing for 2 days and they had found his car on the side of the road on I-95 Southbound in Greenwich. He did finally turn up, dehydrated and undernourished and having had himself quite a little outdoor homeless adventure in NYC and then a 35 mile journey on foot to Elmsford, NY - Where he was picked up by the police, having fit the description of the missing person. He spent some time in the Hospital recovering, but now seems back in balance.

Ihad very limited computer access while back there and am surprised my teams didn't lose every game. But it is good to be back - especially knowing he is ok. Back to business as usual. Robert

OMG!! Rob, that is incredible!! I can speak for all of us in thanking God your son turned up and is well. I imagine his adventure contains some interesting stories. Now that you have recovered from your nightmare of a missing son, perhaps you could share some more details if it is OK with you.

Welcome back. Your team is still in 1st place! :D

:o I didn't hear anything about that here in the Greenwich papers Rob! I hope all is well now. I was not around yesterday, I left for a one day Vermont trip to check out some bakery supplies. If there is anything I can do here in CT, just let me know....

First it was the Jeepster:

"[i:08094502d6]And C2 yes I'm fully aware of your presence, trying to stay under the radar methinks, one game behind Lee. Well park your Stealth, I see you loud and clear lurking, hanging on, ready to pounce. You shall be beaten, too! [/i:08094502d6]"

Then there was Kev:

"[i:08094502d6]I need to get on a roll and sweep someone!! Who will it be??? It's just a matter of time. I'll have to check my schedule for Jeep and C2 sightings[/i:08094502d6]!!"

...then my girlfreind wakes up, comes into my studio, looks at me coldly and says:

"[i:08094502d6]Hmmm... you're still alive, huh[/i:08094502d6]"

:(

... I'm going to take my ball and go play in autoleagues.

:D

'morning fellas :D

Jeepster... I am using that stealth tecnique I have come to master, ancient chinese way of stealth I like to call: Pounce like 3rd place team.
