2006 LOTO TOUR - ROUND 2 - LEAGUE B

Postby durantjerry » Wed Nov 08, 2006 9:46 am

I guess you were right about the teams being evenly matched. I lucked out in game 1, scoring two in the eight to tie, two in the bottom of the ninth to tie and two more in the bottom of the tenth to win by 1 run. Blowing a close game in the semi's is tough, as I always feel like I have to win 4 of 5 to move on after letting one slip away.

I got the win in game five and the match up I prefer, going against eight RH hitters. Four of my seven main pitchers held RH batters to a sub-.200 BA, including my bullpen(.152, .171,.171), and the other three pitchers are Carpenter, Peavy & Smoltz. May all the rolls be on the pitchers cards.

[quote:f9b7f8a139]Congratulations to all RD 2 A League playoff teams and those who have advanced to the LOTO Finals.

I have left a message to everyone in League Mail of that league.

In short, I have been engulfed by a very serious family crisis since the Friday before yesterday and had to fly to CT on short notice for the week.

I have had very limited access and no time for Strat matters the past week. But I did return last nite and for the most part, the crisis has been resolved. But I am behind on other REAL matters that have to be addressed before creating the Finals League - Which I will do as soon as this league's playoffs are completed.

Anyone wishing to get a head start on their Finals strategy can do so by checking the 6 Finalists from each of the RD2 A and B Leagues and finding the rules for the Finals league in one of the other LOTO Threads for 06' on the Boards.

I will be posting again, sometime on Monday or Tuesday, as I work long hrs weekends. Thanks and sorry for any inconvenience.

Robert

[quote:96d1d28417]All 3 Rounds are Simple Autodrafts...But with simple Ballpark and Cap Rule Differences. All 3 Rounds will use the DH, all 3 Rounds will have weighted waivers.

1st Round: 80M CAP, DH, Weighted Waivers, ANY Ballpark you want to play in. So Multiple BP's are acceptable. 10% Caphit on Add/Drop.

2nd Round: 100M CAP, DH, Weighted Waivers, Lottery for Ballparks, Unique Stadiums.(No 2 of the same ballpark allowed.) Standard 20% Caphit on Add/Drop.

3rd Round: 60M CAP, DH, Weighted Waivers, Unique Stadiums - In order of win pct. (Best to Last - So it pays to play hard and win. Stadium Choice in the Finals Round is a big deal - especially with the lower Cap.) Progressive Caphit (Like in BT 80's) 5%/10%/20%.

1 Last Rule: No Player may use the same Ballpark more than 1 Time. Anyone in the Finals League will have had to use 3 different Ballparks.

Hey Fellas'...

Congratulaions to all playoff teams and those advancing to the LOTO Finals League...I will be putting that together as soon as RD 2 League A is completed and a champion determined in that league...

I have been dealing with a very serious family crisis since the Friday before yesterday and had to fly to Connecticut on short notice last Sunday. So I haven't had any time at all to even consider anything STRAT related for the past 8 days(Including very limited computer access).

Without going into any detail publically, I did return to AZ late last nite and it appears that the matter has been resolved, but it has been exhausting and has set me back a couple of weeks in all other areas of my REAL LIFE.

Anyone interested in the Finals Rules can do so by checking earlier threads where they are detailed, as well as checking the RD 2 League thread for the 6 Finals teams and records from League A.

I work long hrs weekends and will likely be posting again sometime Monday or Tuesday.

I apologize for any inconvenience, but this delay was very important.

Thanks to everyone for participating in the 06' LOTO TOUR and GL to all Finals participants.

Robert - I am so sorry to hear about your family crisis and hopefully for your family's sake the crisis remains "resolved" as you put it.

Even though I am done in LOTO for this season (with my all time worst Strat record ever I will add), I look forward to you having a successful finals and the next season of LOTO. :D

Chuck

P.S. Jeep - now you don't have to worry about me competing with you for Tejada!

It is still a little fragile and is related to my 19 yr old son. But he seems to be recovering from the situation pretty well. I don't usually make public these sort of things, but will answer any Q's in private, if anyone is interested. Robert
