I voted for next week with other people in mind, such as Maligned, and I feel that if we were to do it Sunday or Monday we could make sure that everyone would have both internet access and the time to use it.

For me, personally, Wednesday would be fine if we went with that. The waiver period ends right smack in the middle of my (ugh) Saturday work day, so the Thursday draft would work for me.

However, the Force is strong with this rookie. Do what you will. :P

Penngray informed me that he is gonna be out of town Thursday to Sunday so I think we'll aim for getting our teams in for a Monday night draft.

So, that means the waiver frenzy will be on Wednesday and the season will begin on the following Monday...is that correct? What time will the waiver frenzy on Wednesday be?

One more totally unrelated question...can I use outfielders at other unlisted outfielding spots like in the card and dice game (i.e. Ichiro rates as a "2" in center because of his "1" rating in right, even though the card doesn't mention it because he never plays there)?

I'm sorry I have so many beginner questions.

Ask away, maligned, no problem with questions. And the answer is no, you cannot use a player at any other position other than what is listed on the card. The only way a player will play out of position is if the game AI (HAL) has to use a player out of position to fill an injury and there is no one else available that plays that position.
