I had a 22 game losing streak in my most recent completed season. Thats more than 1/8th of the season.

lost something like 30 of my last 33 games... And I think I was lucky to win those three with THIS team. It was beyond pathetic.

Bad stretch

Postby honestiago1 » Sun Nov 12, 2006 10:54 am

A 1-15 stretch, ending week #2 and going into #3, and later, during week #5, a 1-9 stretch. That's 2-24, for a team that started 25-15, and ended up 78-84. I go, say, even 10-16, and I have 86 wins and a tie for the wild card. I go a little above .500, and we're talking 90 wins.

More bitching & moaning: I had four 1-run losses during the two streaks, and SEVEN one run losses during the final two weeks, for a team that allowed the fewest runs in the league, leading the league in pitching. Three picthers with 200 K's, 202 HR's hit and 140 SB from the batters. We also led the league in fielding %. You TELL me what happened.

Pitcher fatigue?

Postby honestiago1 » Mon Nov 13, 2006 1:54 pm

Maybe. My main guys were over IP; Carlton and Fernando by about 40. Barker by 30, Show was UNDER his rated IP. And it wasn't like I slowed hooked 'em, either. I set up with aggressive releif, then slow hook individual pitchers, if they're getting yanked too soon, too often. That said, I've had guys with 280+ IP who've performed well all year. My bad streak was in the middle of the season, not at the end. And I led the league in fewest runs allowed and ERA. I think I just got a bunch of bad breaks.
