The Return of FRKL - Season II - Stoney Reigns Supreme!

Postby Jeepdriver » Mon Nov 20, 2006 11:52 am

Kev, it's all about club house attitude.

Gee, this league is sporting some extreme records rather than evenly matched records. I'm thinking it's probably because it's a keeper league and some people are playing for next season and vice versa. I really haven't looked at the teams close enough to know though, just speculating.

MIND BOGGLING-RIDICULOUS-BIZAARE-TRAGIC Stats from my ballclub!!

Vs. Right handed pitching:

Derek Lee- 4-34 (.118)
Counsell- 0-40 (.000)
Wilkerson- 2-26 (.077)

Combined- 6-100 (.060 batting avg. vs. righties)!!!!

Have I mentioned that all 3 players bat left handed!!!!

My resignation as coach is on the owner's desk. The batting coach has been shot and killed in the clubhouse.

Kev,

If I understood your post correctly D. Lee has been hitting Left Handed

... [i:b5542d09d4]that [/i:b5542d09d4] my good friend might me your trouble... He's a righty.

So, my advice: Go in the clubhouse and give him some sage advice: tell him you came up with this adjustment: tell him to bat from the other side of the plate. Don't confuse him with the righty/lefty talk. You know these superstars have plenty in their minds... ya gotta simplify it for them.

That's it. Hitting from his natural side and voila, his problems will be cured.

... when dude's up at bat just yell from the dugout:

"[i:b5542d09d4] No the other right side [/i:b5542d09d4]"

Batting coach has been shot and killed

...imagine when he meets Peter by the Gates and Peter says unto him:

"[i:3e1554af19] My dear child, do you know why you are here?[/i:3e1554af19]"

P.Coach (sobbing): "Yes. Derrek Lee couldn't hit a lick... and worst of all he couldn't tell his right from his left. When a line drive was hit towards the first base bag he always dove towards second..."

....

you always crack me up Kev. we'll have to start a league in your honor:

"That magnificent kev and his flying machine league" (now [i:3e1554af19]that[/i:3e1554af19] is a fairly obscure film reference)

Any wazzako rules you come up with are game... like having Derreck Lee bat lefty

     C2 managed to make fun of my hitting coach, me, Derek Lee, and mentioned St. Peter all in a couple posts. I respect C2's ability to maximize his posts!

Our new batting coach had Derek bat from the right side in Game 1 and he had a Homerun and 6 RBIs. Counsell was 0-40 vs. Righties and came up with a 4-6 vs. righties in the series. My anemic, horrific offense scored 36 runs in 3 games??
I suppose if your team is going through the hitting woes, look for C2 on your schedule!!
We appreciate C-2's pre-series hitting advice. :D

OK--POP QUIZ!!!

How does C2's team have a 7.41 ERA at the 24 game mark??
He has Roberts and Jeter up the middle on defense. He has Crawford, Ichiro, and Hunter in the outfield (all gold glovers). He has Ryan and Shields in the setup and closer roles. He is playing in a hitting unfriendly Safeco Field.
:? :? :?

Now that we're leaving C2 and his Choo's, I suspect we will go back to our 2 runs per game.
