Mark...you can still view the L/R splits after the season ends by going to the statistics page first, and then select the team you wish to view from there.

Please!

Allow us (the paying customers) the option of choosing the SIZE of one's league. I'd very much like to see league options of, say, 12, 16, and 20 teams as a way to thin out the All-Star talent on most teams.

Just play in a 60M league. That will thin out the talent and stay with the 12 team format.

$60 million?

Postby kmdarcy » Wed Nov 22, 2006 9:45 am

Yes, a $60/12 league would lessen teams' talent levels, but it would still employ the same number of players. And, as all of us know, most .75 or .89 players stink. I would not want to make teams stink, only to expand their talent level across the board relative to one another. A $60/12 league would only limit the number of good players that a team could have. Does that make sense?

I understand your point, but I don't want limits, per se. I'd like to see teams really mixed up and the free agent pool shrunk. Examples? My league has the likes of Fred Lynn and Nolan Ryan on the free agent lists. That's silly, they should be on a team and playing. A, say, 20 team league option--and it is just an option, I wouldn't be for paying customers HAVING to chose it--would create a more realistic model of a player's strengths and weaknesses and it would force owners to play GM a bit more.

By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

If all the decent players were on teams there would be nowhere to go to replace that Turkey of a mystery card you would have with some players. Being able to drop/add players based on what years you think they are playing with is part of the fun of the mystery card game.
