You're missing Tom Niedenfuer. That '83 card is a killer. Had it once, he wound up with 45 saves and a 0.92 WHIP. Think he posted the best-ever WHIP for a reliever too. Otherwise, he's a semi-adequate RH short reliever.

In my limited experience (5 80s teams played so far), I love having Buechele, and have had great years from Worrell and Gleaton as closers on different teams. Berryhill can be great against LHP and his D makes him a good backup to a big bopper catcher...I've never had any luck with sub-1M SPs though...

By the way, I'm 43 and came to baseball a bit later in life than some others...but the 80s is when I came to love baseball and while I'm happy the franchise is expanding to the 70s, I think I'll stick around here. Just don't have those memories about the 70s players, though I was born in '63.

Benzinger is in my personal Hall of Fame for this performance in a championship season:

Regular season: .280 Avg, .480 Slug, .331 OBP

Playoffs: .389 Avg, .944 Slug, .476 OBP

He basically stole the title for me.

The others I like:

Berryhill
Presley

and I had Rudy Law once and he put up:
.314 Avg, .442 Slug, .348 OBP, 30 doubles and 75 steals in 590 ABs.
