The New Lords of OBP

A team in my league just set a record for team OBP (and team batting average). Brett, Boggs, Butler, and Carew led the way, and Lezcano single-handedly kept them strong, if not completely dominant, against righties. Here's the link:

Baracus,
that team is absolutely amazing!! How do you end up with so many players doing so well? I have never had a team where all the good cards have shown up. Boggs, Brett, Butler and Lezcano had absolutely banner years; Carew and Dilone kicked tail.

congratulations!

The manager who deserves the congratulations is monkeyboy157 (ranked 24th in BTT80s). My favorite stat from his team is Rod Carew with 147 RBI.

Sorry Baracus -- I thought it was YOUR team. Way to go Monkeyboy. Holy cow!

that Carew season is amazing to think about, with the most RBI on any of his 5 cards right at 100 ... impressive.

Wow!

I thought I did pretty well with a .378 OBP team (also in Royals, natch) in a league with baracus a while back, but this is at a whole different level. Should it be illegal to have Brett and Boggs on the same team?

Anyway, congrats to Monkeyboy and good luck to everyone in the playoffs.
