Lance Parrish is a great selection in a homer-friendly, not necessarily base-hit friendly park, like Polo, Yankee '27 or Veterans '77. He's not going to get a lot of base hits anywhere.
I've had great luck w/ Red Faber among the cheap pitchers in neutral to hitter's parks. Not sure why he's overlooked but my most successful closer has been Roger McDowell.
Mays is the best value among hitters in my book. Then probably Banks.
