My origional team link

In my haste to fill out my card when I got home tonight....I did make 2 small mistakes.

1 - I drafted 0.50 M.Mathews and not T.Mathews from '01....no biggie I suppose since T.Matthews does not even have a '05 card

however,

2 - I mistakenly left off FELIX Rodriguez. When I searched for him, I was looking for F.Rod on SAN FRANCISCO.....didn't see him, knew he hurt his arm in '04 but didn't realize he got traded to Philadelphia until I went to post this link and re-checked the first name.

Obviously I need to pick him up and keep him...sorry for the problem...but if BC or anyone else feels add'l punishment is needed it's not a big deal to me so just let me know and whatever BC decides is cool w/ me.

ps.....Millar anyone ?[/url]

I think having to pick up and keep Felix should be punishment enough.

My first team (in '01):

I went 97-65 with this team, had the best record, and of course was knocked out in the semi-finals.

(AP won in a seven game finals.)

My 1st team:

Finished in last place (was last in hitting & 1st in pitching) looks like more of the same.

I haven't looked closely but it looks like everyone stuck to the rules. This should make for some interesting roster decisions and an interesting season.

It looks like cminton did not gain any real advantage by not including all his players. I think you made some fair choices, Charlie. (And thanks for leaving Chavez off, as he's one of the originals I wanted).

Looking at my potential lineup, I will be using a number of players that I did in 01:

Stewart
Thomas
Dunn
Chavez
Boone

I'll probably even DH Bernie against lefties.

My rotation will be a different story:

I missed out on Hudson, my 01 ace (25-6)

As for Ortiz, Garland and Estes, I may go through the whole season without starting any of them!

[b:bc4ee2da90]I will look favourably on any trade offer that allows me to offload my original pitchers.[/b:bc4ee2da90] So if you can use any of the above starters (or Rincon, Hasegawa), or you're willing to take on their "contracts", let me know. I'm sure others are in the same boat.

Error

Postby BC Manager » Sat Nov 05, 2005 1:55 pm

Ok, I stumbled on another player that belonged on someone's original team but ended up in the FA pile. I'm certain this happened as an oversight and not to shirk the rules. This is because the player is actually desirable, and even the owner said he would've liked to have him.

I don't want to single out the owner at this point. Question is, without knowing the player or team, should the player be reserved as property of the team that was supposed to draft him or should he be fair game for anyone?

Now that I think about it, I'm thinking he should be the property of his original team, but that team should have to use a waiver pick to claim him.

Any other thoughts?

Here's my original team:

Best record in the league but lost in semis. Dozens of teams since then and a few Championships, but I've never broken 100 wins since.

Remember chad fox and the year of the super reliever? Fox had 205 IPs for this team.

Going to need help at SP, 2b, and c for sure. Open for business!
