Who holds the record for most 2006 wins? Can you post a link to your team?

There are several teams that have over 100 wins in a season,

My personal best this year has been 95. It was a 100M league, and I did go on to win my 1st ring with it.

My best 80M team had 89 wins and l lost in Semi's.

I hope I am not jinxing myself, but I have a team right now that is 81-51 with 30 games to go. I am hoping that I can break the 100 win barrier with this one.
This was my first try in Yankee Stadium, so I am very pleased.
You would think that you would have a huge lead in your division with a record 30 games over .500, but that is not the case.

I have a 5 game and 8 game lead on the 2nd and 3rd place teams.
The 3rd Place team in my division would be leading in the other 2 divisions if he wasn't in ours. He will miss playoffs with quite possibly the 3rd best record in the league.

Keep your fingers crossed for me

104 wins

Postby PAULMINICUCCI » Wed Dec 06, 2006 10:43 pm

I just got whipped in the playoffs by this team that won 104 games. Not only did they win a lot they had 370 HRs and over 1050 Runs and had a run differential of 300 runs scored to runs against. In a word : dominant.

My first '06 team won 105 and was promptly eliminated in the semis. Still my best performance in the regular season this year.

Somebody once posted a comment about a 111 win team in '06 on another thread. I think it may have been a tour team. I've never seen a link to it.

It's true. There was a 112-win team on the tour, but it was in a 100M league. Here it is:

Worrierking, what I admire about your team is that you did it with players who frequently land on the FA list. Nice work!

worrierking,
You were amazing in 1- and 2-run games also. 26-13 in 1-run games and 21-5 in 2-run games. That'll get the job done.

True, but it was my first team, I had no idea these guys weren't going to be popular!

And I did that with no true closer. I noticed that a lot of those close wins came when I had an early lead that got chipped away as the game went on and I would hang on by a thread. I honestly way over-achieved the pythagorean formula with this team.

That 112er is something else, Maligned. Very bold to use all those lefties on the mound and the platoons appear to have produced exceptionally well. Amazing.
