I have to say I'm inclined to agree with the splinter here. What use are a bunch of easily cross-referenced facts and figures in a game like this? :?
But I would think twice before trash-talking a dude from Hofstra, unless, that is, you've never been smashed in the face with the butt of a lacrosse stick!
Come on, what is this? There's no need for hostilities. Everyone has a different approach to the game. That's part of the fun -- to test your theory of what works against the all other guys'. As we all know, there are those who have created their own elaborate formulas for evaluating players. Some people use spreadsheets. Some study the cards. I've found the various stat sites to be helpful, along with my collection of dog-eared Baseball Registers.
Whatever gets you through the night (right up until 9:59 eastern time), 's all right.
