New league forming...Vets vs. the rooks!

Thank God this league kicks off soon. Too much longer and you guys will be quitting your day jobs to become aspiring clothing designers and science fiction writers.

And now, to level the playing field...I don't want any excuses from you vets saying that since we rooks knew Robo's stadium we were better able to mop you up and down.

So -and especially since the East is all in- My Little Red Riding Hoods will be playing in Minute maid. Most of my experience is with lefty parks and only recently I started playing a righty park- JD is in that league with me and he can tell you of the whopping record I've got that has me sitting dead last...so I should be a fun punching test-tube for you guys.

Since I had taken a hiatus from strat, I decided to go to the more neutral park Skydome in an effort to get my bearings again.

I've got my first 05 team playing there but I screwed up and undervalued my pitching so the team is looking like it'll just be a .500 ballclub and probably miss the P/Os.

Lado Oeste Jaguares are in

Postby maligned » Sun Nov 06, 2005 12:51 am

Lado Oeste Jaguares are in "Rookie 101." Though "Lado Oeste Jaguares" (pronounced LAH-do oh-WES-teh hah-GWAHR-ace) is our technical name, vets are welcome to call us the Baja Gorditas, which can be loosely translated as the "short little fat girls." Never knew your Taco Bell cuisine was so insulting, did you?

Just waiting for charliewb in the central now.

 ...JD, you know I not only listen to every word you say, I also keep an eye out for yer teams...it's not that I wasn't listening it's just that I was trying my uniform on and I must say look quite dashing, the Little Red Riding Hoods are poised to walk up to plate to the music of Right Said Fred "I'm too sexy"

So far

Vets: 2 (Ty is going neutral in skydome)
Rooks: 2

So malgned, since you're naming your team the Jags , are you going to borrow Rob's leopard leotards for your unis?

The only leotards my guys will see this season will be at the team Christmas outing to see a Nutcracker performance. Our team psyche is based completely around attaining to the great teachings of Latino machismo. It sounds like we're going to have some psychologically challenging road trips.

How close are we to getting the West the password. One more to
enter in the Central ? Once I decide on a Park I'll gladly surrender that
information.
Hmmm, what's the best way to beat a veteran...with good pitching,
or good hitting ? In this league we may just have to hold up a mirror
for them to see their own reflection in some of these getups !!

Bump! We need Charlie to enter his squad to close out the CENTRAL so that I can pass the password along to the WEST.

We're closing in on the finish line fellas, lets not lose momentum now.
