Help: Getting Closer In Game In the 8th??

Please check out this team ready to go for a new season:

I'm concerned about the bullpen depth. If I could get Adams to cover the 6th, Miller/Bradford/Rincon the 7th, then Nathan for BOTH the 8th and 9th, then I think this pen could do well the majority of the time.

Obviously Bradford would avoid lefties, Rincon/Miller avoid righties.

Q: If I set Nathan to "not come in before the 8th" will this do the trick? Should closer be set at "maximize" or "normal" for HAL to bring him in in the 8th inning as opposed to the 9th?

Please help.

Does that do it?

I changed my pitching a bit. I want to shut the other team down from the 7th inning on. So, I gave up L. Hernandez for K. Benson, figuring it would be worth it to add B. J. Ryan, giving up Mike Adams as well. I have:

Ryan coming in in the 6th or later with a slow hook, and also as lefty set up, 2-3 innings max. Ryan is good for 2 innings, especially if he mows the other team down, keeping runners off the bases.

Nathan coming in 8th or later, 2-3 innings max, and slow hook.

I changed closer usage to "normal".

Thanks. That's good advice.

I had Trever Miller as 2nd lefty, and Mike Adams as a "7th inning" guy, and decided that BJ Ryan's dominance would be worth the big bucks, especially paired with Nathan. This way in certain key games, these two could theoretically cover up to 4 innings!

Lima is there to eat a few innings in a blow out, or when I have a 3-4 run lead, and need someone to pitch a couple innings. I'm sure he will lose me an extra inning game or two though giving up a walk off.
