Jeter with his obp, 1 defensively, 33 out of 37 steals should be a AA but will only get the A and his .343 avg will be a card to remember and he murdered lefties. O. Hudson the only 1 at 2B with solid hitting will be a stud on any roster. L.Berkman a 2 at 1B is a nice surprise, he has a .1142ops vs righties which is sick. His card will be sought after.Oh and hes a 3 in Rf. can't understand Soriano a 4, i thought he was tracking down a ton of balls, i know he led the league in assists and should be atleast a -2 if not -3. As usual Johan Santana kills righties and gets knocked by lefties, same card as last year. It should be another great strat season, can't wait for the ratings book!!!

tobry,

Where'd you get all this? Got a job working the old abacus in the back room in Glen Head, or what?

I don't know if Soriano should be a 3 or a 4 in LF, but Strat uses scouting reports along with stats, especially for def and arm ratings. It is one of the beauties of the game.

You should know since you work there.

So if Soriano nailed a bunch of runners because everyone and his brother tried to advance on him, that would justify a +1 or +2, if that is what he got.

There certainly is an argument for Soriano to be a 3 in left, as there is an argument he's a 4. But considering the Yankee slant of SOM, it should come as no surprise he's a 4.

In fact he might be a 1 or a 2 if you're measuring by his speed moving left to right. But he's a 5 doing anything else. He was painful to watch at times trying to track balls in the air. It'll be interesting to see how they rate his arm -- everyone did try to advance on him, and he mowed them down. I'd say he has an above average arm, though I'm guessing he'll be a 0. But then again, I thought Shane Victorino deserved a 1 or 2 in CF.
