Respectfully, it seems after two weeks that is a bit late to say that you are cramped and can't fit this league in now, Petro. And the start date has already been changed to meet the objections of Novie and you. How about some compromise going the other way?

The Finals occur at this time every year. This crunch happened last year even with Penn's website because a finalist dropped out of the league due to depression. Both leagues took about 15-16 days from start to finish. All of us, including you, have played the game for some time and are accomplished enough players that we should each be able to complete the remainder of our teams and load them in about 10 minutes total time. It certainly hasn't been a problem in the past.

With the league being filled on Sunday and waivers on Tuesday, all 12 of us can fiddle with their teams over several days at a leisurely pace as our time permits regardless of whether or not we are taking vacation time or staying at home.

Novie has set up the league and the password is champs. [b:5c09dd48bc]Out of courtesy and fairness to all players here, let's all please get our teams loaded. [/b:5c09dd48bc]Petrosian, OT and treyomo are left to fill the East.

East: OdysseyTigger, Novie, treyomo, Petrosian
Central: Munich Man, boss_of_um, Ed Bazo, tkl33
West: Beach, Beasts, Jack377, Major Deegan

Petrosian,

Let's get this league loaded now, it's taken WAY too long to get the draft finished so there is absolutely NO reason to delay any longer. Please load your team per Beach's direction.

Thanks....MM :)

I will give you 24 hours to load your team. Failure to do so and the next person in line (Roosky and then Dave Hall) will be contacted and given an opportunity to take your team as drafted and play it.

MM

1) Refugees were loaded after I took Seaver

2) Moose: After THIS draft, NOW you are going to make freakn' time demands and ultimatums????

... on a league that's not scheduled to fill for another 5 days?????

... to Petrosian????

HE didn't slow anything down DURING the draft and there is no reason to expect that he will now. All he did was ask a question. Beach's response was direct, comprehensive, polite and more than sufficient.

Your first post was unnecessary and your second post way over the top.

While I appreciate everything you do for TSN SOM and this tour, your demeanor here has frequently that of a bully and an ******. Grow up.

If you must know, Beach asked me to get involved due to being at wit's end over Petro's statement.

The decision stands and the clock is ticking. OT, if you don't like the way I run it, I fully expect that you won't be back for Tour V. In fact, I'm counting on it. I've had more than my share of your flippant disrespect for the rules here.

Please, everyone, let's just relax a bit. The draft has gone a bit slowly, but certainly nothing like some other memorable ones I've been a part of. I can understand, and symphathize, with both Petrosians and Beachs viewpoints; this is a tough time to start a league, but we'd all like to finish this off as soon as possible. There is really no need to escalate this to a point where people are going to start doing things they'll regret later.

We've made it this close to the finish line; let's go ahead and take those last few steps. If there is anyone who absolutely cannot draft on some specific day(s), this is the time to speak up (actually, the time was probably a while ago, but oh well....) Let's all try to work together and get this done. You can go back to sniping at each other (or at me) afterwards.

My team is loaded, although I'm not sure why the ultimatium was necessary. I last checked the thread around 9 pm and OT hadn't made his pick. Feels like smashing an egg with a sledgehammer. I made the observation about the time of the waivers because I won't be around for the post waiver frenzy and that doesn't seem like it needs to happen

As far as Beach being at his wit's end from my posts, I don't recall launching any tirades or making any demands. I do appreciate MM's responsivity to my asking about the graduated drops and putting it to a vote. You guys have been doing a good job getting this finished and I'm sure it's a thankless task.

But calling OT flippantly disrespectful makes no sense to me.

Merry Christmas.

Just for the record, I didn't ask for the start date to be changed. I merely chimed in after it was pointed out, that starting on Xmas day was not a good thing. It made no difference to me as I will be around, but obviously, others may not and family obligations for this holiday take precedent over SOMO.

Have a great holiday everyone!! :D
