I will be in by tomorrow. Mr. Schwartz has been scarce because of personal items. Anyone that can get a hold of him may want to try. I believe he dropped out of one of my theme leagues.

We filled tonight. Taxi and I loaded at 11:55 this evening.

I am between CPU builds and removing viruses from a co-workers machine tonight and just remembered to get in.

4 machines in my house right now and only 1 working the way it should.

Gonna be a long 2 days. hehe

MR. Schwartz I Presume?

Postby rschwartz51 » Sun Dec 31, 2006 5:47 am

Been busy but things are looking now like close to normal. Got back from 4 days in Vegas with the family. Talked with Bobby, saw some shows, no gambling.

Getting finished with a year long project involving filing an Estate Tax Form 706 and selling my Dad's House. Closed on the house a couple weeks ago.

Guess it has been a while since I woke up tonight thinking I'd join a frenzy only to find that ATG no longer frenzies at this hour. Ah, the good old days.

Checked our little 70's Theme and got my team in. Never played this game and never played a Mystery Card. However, I did play 10 years in a SOM Dynasty League involving the 70's so I took the approach of drafting players I had in my organization so I could at least relive these players.

I see I got a 10th seeding for waivers which I missed the draft. Happy that I got a lot of my drafted players but that may mean that I drafted lousy players.

Curious to know from players who have played the 70's if I got anybody that may be desired.

Am I off getting Randy Jones and JR Richard. Boy I liked them back in the day. Drafted old favorites like Big Bad John Mayberry, Willie Randolph, Steve Kemp, Ken Griffey, Many Sanguillan.

Ron Leflore, drafted him as a rookie in my old league. He was either 23 or 33 as it turned out he was a prisoner for a while. He was so fast. We'll see if a 3 CF who can steal and hit is effective.

All my favorites from the 70's did not seem to fit in my drafting scheme.

Big Kingman was my favorite, but he is definetly a DH.

Good luck to all.

I remember George Foster's card in 1977 had a 1-5 1-6 and 1-7 roll for HR but they changed his card in this game- oh well. I am going with bashers Reggie, Dick Allen, Bench and Bonds and hope 3 of the 4 have good years. Happy New Year to all and thanks for getting started on time!
