FEBRUARY 2006 THEME RULES (Who Wants to be a Millionaire)
1. Player Catalog: ATG III (All Teams eligible – no restrictions on teams).
2. Player Restrictions: ALL Players (Pitchers AND Hitters) MUST have a minimum salary of $1 Million (no maximum salaries). My advance apologies to my favorite minimum-wager, Al Weis.
3. Starting Pitcher Restrictions: Each team can use a MAXIMUM of 2 Starting Pitchers that require a 3-Day Rest (SP*). In other words, we will all have a 5-Man Rotation (some will have 2 SP* pitchers, some one, some none – the choice is yours with a maximum of 2 SP* on your roster at any given time).
4. Salary Cap: $80 Million Cap
5. DH: DH is in Use!
6. Waivers: Normal Waivers Process – no frenzies.
7. Team Names: Pay tribute or bash any millionaire that you want with your team name (Trump Combovers, Cuban Missiles, Buffet’s Bashers, etc.).
8. Stadiums: All Stadiums Available. Duplicates are permitted.
9. Misc: All other standard TSN/SOM/ATG rules are in effect related to roster sizes and requirements.
10. Divisional Assignments: I will put myself in the East Division in order to begin the league. The remainder of the divisions will be established based on the Daily Pick 3 Lottery results of Monday Night, 1/15/07 (and the following list) – from Highest to Lowest – The 3 Highest Numbers will join me in the East, the next 4 Highest Numbers are in the Central and the Lowest 4 Numbers are in the West:
Genegrid - IN
Adojake - WI
Ehlekev - ID
Assmeriten - IL
DocTax1 - TN
CATom - CA
parkav97 - FL
msheaf1 - TX
sykes25 - NJ
bobschwartz - GA
Joel (69 Cubs) – PA
Without the minimum-wagers, we will likely use more “mid-level” talent and platoon players. The SP restrictions will also force us to use starting pitchers that we normally do not use.
Any questions? Let me know here or in the December/January Message Boards.
