A little help needed with injuries

Postby Ducky » Tue Nov 08, 2005 12:46 pm

I always thought you could possibly determine the card you have for a pitcher when that pitcher is injured. I know the injuries occur only when the DH is batting. The particular instance that has me confused is one that happened last night in a league that I am in. Dale Mohorcic was pitching to Kal Daniels. Daniels hit a single and Mohorcic was injured. Now, I was taught to look at the far column of the pitcher card (versus left handed batter in this case) , down on number 12, to try to figure out the card based on the result of the play. Mohoricic's cards do not show any singles in that position. Three flyouts, a strikeout and a walk. Have I been going on the wrong assumption for quite some time now or is there another explanation.

Thanks,

Mike

Whoops missed that. Proves that it is hard to research baseball with an accurate eye when you are at work.
