WHAT IS BEETER TO HAVE AS A 2B........

2B-1e15 or 2B-3e4

not sure what to do with my team here

Statistically speaking for 2B a 1e34 would allow the same number of hits + errors as a 3e4. Therefore a 1e15 is a whole lot better than a 3e4 for 2B.

Now THAT is helpful.

Right now I am playing N. Perez at 2B who is 2e5, and putting J. Carroll at 3rd vs RHPs, replacing Carroll late and with the lead. Perez is set to bunt more. H & R more.

I know I will give up some errors at 3rd, but too many pitchers have 2Bx in the middle of their cards. Plus, a "2" will get you more DPs with runners on base due Super Advanced rules.

A "3" at 2B becomes a "4" with a runner being held at 1B, and a RH hitter at the plate.

I believe I under estimated on my last team when I had Jimenez at 2B. At least get a glove in there late and with the lead.

If you have never played the board game, it comes with a fielding chart which you read the results off of when you get a play that is, say, 2b-X. Then your chart comes into play, and the 2b-1 will allow far fewer hits to get through the infield, and will also be able to turn more double plays if there is a runner on first. The 2b-3e4 is very solid with the glove on balls that he gets to, but he doesn't get to nearly as many balls as the 2b-1.

If you look at the chart, a 1 reaches 10% more balls than a 2, who reaches 10% less than a 3. I believe that is correct.

However, it translates to 10% less DPs, as well. That's 10% on GBx's only though. Some gbA's, & gbB's are "gimmes".

because of the extra hitting that generally goes on in our leagues, the 2b-x should come up about 168 times in the season. disregarding shifts because of runners being held, this amounts to about:
a 2 gives up about 16.8 hits
a 3 gives up about 33.6 hits
a 4 gives up about 50.4 hits... a 1 gives up zero hits
the error rating is the number of errors the player would make if he played every game. the numbers above assume playing every game also.
of course there are double play considerations..they drop as the range drops

1b, lf, rf, p come up about 56 times- 3b, cf about 84- ss about 196 with catchers, there are so many factors, like throws on attempted steals, that the variations are too great to estimate. the catch x will come up as often as 3b and cf, but i had pudge make a huge number of errors, mostly on throws during attempted steals. he was trying to protect penny, burnett and clement, two +4 and a +3
