New league forming...Vets vs. the rooks!

Sorry about all the Bitchin' Fellas'

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Wed Nov 09, 2005 8:12 pm

Just checked and saw we're full and draft tonite and then read these posts and realized that Friday isn't a good day for a couple players either.

I would have been happy to have waited until Sat. to draft so we could all have a good waiver day on Monday. And i likely wouldn't have complained so much had my last 3 drafts/Waivers /Frenzy gone well - but they didn't. In one, my draft was soo bad, I only got 7 players I picked(My worst ever.) But tomiss both Sat and sunday due tro long hrs and live in the west time zone I usually don't get to see my team until a few hrs before the season starts. So I make rash, quick decisions about what is available and overall haven't fared very well.

I made requests in those leagues as well after waiting on others, but didn't want to hold up everyone any longer. So now that all finally got my bratty way for a change - I'M READY TO CHAAAAAA CHAAAAAA!!!!

Maybe all the way down to the G-String! But believe me - not a pretty sight.

Wasn't Orlando Cepeda's Nickname...

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Wed Nov 09, 2005 8:17 pm

When he was with the Cardinals, "Cha Cha"? I vaguely remember this for some reason. So if he is still alive, i am going to invite him to be one of my batting coaches. If not, then I am dedicating this season to The big "O" - who used to play for my favorite team - The Giants.

Either way, I know he'll dig the outfits.

And so it came to be that Orlando Cepeda became the rowdy dancer on top of the Cha Cha's home dugout.

I'm not sure that Friday is going to be a great day for me with the waiver thing, but I have dealt with worse circumstances. Besides, I'm just here to play, I've already completed my own "three ring circus" with this season's cards, so maybe now I can learn from you OLD guys and take my game to the next level.

And Penn... a true Jedi master would be able to participate in the frenzy without access to a computer. Everybody knows that. Amatuer. The next time you forget about me or any league I am in, I will be sure to haunt you in your once pleasant dreams. M'kay, pumpkin? :D

Well...My team is sure interesting looking, not sure whether that is a good or bad thing? I'd totally forgotten who I had on my card?

I haven't really given the team a good once over yet and I haven't looked to see where I am at in the waiver draft yet?

One thing is certain though, should be a damn fun season! :D

Certainly the Armor

Is interesting looking on baseball players...But certainly nothing can match the absolute kaleidescope of the colorful Cha Cha's...

I think on opening nite, we're going to have free tropical drinks for the entire 1st level...And they get to keep the umbrella. 8)

you guys are having too much fun. I hope another one of these leagues opens up so I can jump in. Rookies need to learn through extreme humiliation. I look perversely forward to being pummeled by the masters in the future.

The biggest mystery to me as my first season approaches the halfway point seems to be the stadium connection. I'm still not sure why my entire roster is grotesquely underperforming in yankee stadium. Bonds, A-Rod, Sosa, Burnitz, Morneau, etc...all floundering.

good luck to you all. may the best rookie win.
