Battle for Bragging rights going into '07

Postby BRADSANDBOTHE » Mon Jan 15, 2007 3:00 pm

If there are any questions or complaints or suggestions do so now, before we start Serpentine.

ArrylT is first up and we will move 1-12 and back 12-1

One Pitcher, One Hitter

Hopefully we can get this done over next day or two.

Once draft is complete, ArrylT will set up league ( 80M Advanced, Autodraft, DH,waivers ect)

Once league is set we can begin to load teams.

Sorry - I did not realize Ballparks were being chosen for us.

I have no problem (obviously) with having unique ballparks, but I guess I missed the part where my ballpark would be picked for me.

I have no interest in playing in Rogers Centre (despite the success I had there previously), so I guess I will bow out with egg on my face for not knowing that I couldnt draft my own ballpark.

I guess I thought you were going to randomize the order in which we [b:886272fa10]DRAFTED[/b:886272fa10] ballparks, and do another randomization for the divisions we played in. I did not realize that one of the randomizations would determine what park I played in.

If it had landed on one of the parks I had yet to play in (there are about 4-5) I wouldn't have cared, but I have 0 interest in playing again in Rogers Centre this season.

[quote:329b4fe4f4="Puckin Drunk"]I was wanting to gather up some of my most common nemisis' for one last go around for '06 and lead into '07.

It will be an Advanced league 80M DH Auto Draft

Here is the idea behind it.
I want to do kind of a pot luck league:

We would run a randomizer to set up Divisions for fairness
[b:329b4fe4f4]Then run a Randomizer for Ball parks again to add some skills to this and to make sure there are no duplicate Ball Parks[/b:329b4fe4f4]
This way every team will know who their opponents will be and what Ball park they will be playing in before filling out Draft lists.

Yes I see that now. I definitely would [b:e6c5ed8fa1]NOT[/b:e6c5ed8fa1] have signed up if I had read that correctly. My bad.

Well I am sure you'll have no trouble finding someone to play in Rogers Centre. :)

Just out of curiousity what would the randomization have been if you'd done the ballparks as they properly listed by TSN??

Angels Stadium (Anaheim)
Bank One Ballpark (Arizona)
Turner Field (Atlanta)
Camden Yards (Baltimore)
Fenway Park (Boston)
Great American Ballpark (Cincinnati)
US Cellular(Chicago AL)
Wrigley Field (Chicago NL)
Jacobs Field (Cleveland)
Coors Field (Colorado)
Comerica Park (Detroit)
Tropicana Field (Florida AL)
Dolphins Stadium (Florida NL)
Minute Maid Park (Houston)
Kauffman Stadium (Kansas City)
Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles)
Miller Park (Milwaukee)
Metrodome (Minnesota)
Yankee Stadium (New York AL)
Shea Stadium (New York NL)
McAfee Coliseum (Oakland)
Citizen's Bank Park (Philadelphia)
PNC Park (Pittsburgh)
Busch Stadium (St. Louis)
PETCO Park (San Diego)
SBC Park (San Fransisco)
SAFECO Field (Seattle)
Ameriquest Field (Texas)
Rogers Center (Toronto)
RFK Stadium (Washington)

I just took it off of the "Choose Ballpark" area for new teams.

I don't care, we can run a different randomization if you all want, I will leave it up to you guys.

We can re order everything if you all want, I was just trying to get this thing moving.

Everyone pipe in

I will be back in the morning and will see what everyone decides.

This is the second league in a row I have been in with Aryl T where he's misinterperted instructions that were posted and tries to get things to where they equal his version of fairness. In this case that seems to be using TSN's listing of stadiums to see if it gives him a draw he likes. In the LOTO finals I believe it was that seeding would have been fairer had it been based on overall record rather than one's record in the second league only. I say let him go away and take a reading comprehension course and come back fresh and new for 2007.

If AT is out, shouldn't we check in with MarkP65 and see if he would like to rejoin us now that it appears his mother is doing well. Even if he can't, I think it would be the nice thing to do.

I've never played Tropicana before in any year in any league. I have a feeling I'm gonna get taken to school by this bunch.

Good luck everybody.

Let's just stick with the results that ran and get this puppy moving.

I'm pretty happy with my park. 8)
