I really liked Pittsburgh. Nice selection of hitters and pitchers. If you can match them with an AL team with that many "real" players, you'll be in great shape. Of all teams, I think Pitt was probably around 4th in the number of good/decent players (behind BOS, MIL and KC, which obviously benefit from also have some superstars, as well).

I agree Oakland was a questionable choice by me. However, they had the two things I like to build my teams around ... great bullpen and power bats. Also, they match up well with some of my potential choices at #24.

Well as I prefaced by saying, a new owner should not even consider second guessing someone who has been around the block a few times.

Hopefully, no hard feelings and now with the explanation, I see it makes absolute sense

Are we going to have to wait for a tie-breaker at #8? Both states have a midday pick 3, can we use that?

I'm just waiting

Postby honestiago1 » Thu Nov 10, 2005 2:48 pm

for a number from one of the participants. If I don't get it, I am going to award the slot to roofing horse, whose number I do have. That's just to speed tings up.

Genevajack is out of town

WED-FRI. He was going to send me his prioritized picks, but did not. I'll use the next pick 3 to break the tie (if they both had middays, I'll use that). Then we'll just have to wait (sorry guys).

Lotto

Postby honestiago1 » Thu Nov 10, 2005 3:54 pm

I cannot access lotto here at work (blocked). I'm asking LM to check for me, to determine tiebreaker.

geneva jack

Postby honestiago1 » Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:07 pm

Anyone here played with jack before, or know him offline? Wish I'd have gotten his picks. He was going to send them to me. Just didn't work.

Either way, we're only going to get through billings and possibly roofing horse. I hate to slide gj into a lower slot for reasons beyond his control, so could someone please check the middays, then make the appropriate changes here (if, indeed, any need to be made)?

Man, I am sweating it out. Think I shoulda pulled the trigger on the trade with Adam Phoenix, 'cuz it's possible I could've gotten both my teams in the 11-14 range, rather than 6 and 19. Yes - let the second guessing begin!
