'Exploring the ATG III Sub-Sets' League - Season IV - 03-59

Postby FAaron » Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:22 am

In order to fit my top hitters on my team (Collins, the Waners, Speaker), I'm going to have to choose Wright over Chapman (like choosing wrong over wright), Gardner over Traynor and Baker, and use Niehaus or Danforth as my closer! I guess I'll have to set my starters at slow hook, set closer usage as normal and relief usage as conservative.

It is definitely going to be interesting. In retrospect, picking Chicago 06 as my first pick (to insure I had good pitching) may not have been such a great idea because it is also expensive pitching--which means that I don't really benifit all that much and that my team will be lucky to score any runs.

Only now am I beginning to realize that I definitely have a "modern bias" in my team creation. I am going to be fielding a lot of unknown quantities (at least unknown to me) this season.

[quote:ffde5e4e2c="ehlekev"]I have created my team and ready to load. My starting SS and 3B have a $1.34M salary and a $1.27M salary.

I am pulling for you. Do not want the home fans on the third base side to start throwing tators at that side of your infield.

Shoot dude.... just load up on that great pitching.... get in a hitters park.... throw in some underpriced hitters.. and you got it made in the shade 8) . Shoot, I am still too scared to put a team together yet as I am sure I will have the same problems.

Season III divisions were based on Season I results.

Season IV divisions can either be based on the combine W/L totals of Seasons I & II, or just on the results of Season II.

Let me know if anyone has a preference.

No preference from me on criteria for divisions.
I'm just eager to get my 80M squad out there :)

Combined is my preference, but not a big deal either way.
