Nev's Nightmare League. UPDATES

Postby Rob55 » Fri Nov 11, 2005 10:39 am

hmmm...my picks....since I knew I would be hard pressed to hold onto 4th in my division I tried to play spoiler. I figured if I could weasel a few picks away from my opponents maybe I could force some strategy change and thus lock up 4th without worrying I would slip even further down. :D

so I went this route

Hughson
Dean
Garber
Red
Pesky

I usaully put a different top 5 then I actually draft..cause I ain't giving nothing away ...LOL...but this time those are my actual picks.... I think

[quote:15d3e138c0]I'm guessing Charlie, thinking I would go Pete-Ozzie, put Ozzie #1, but that may be giving myself too much credit for influencing others' draft cards[/quote:15d3e138c0]

That is 100% correct Rick! Never give yourself too much credit. Another tidbit, I do not even have Meusel or Wagner listed on my card!

Rob the only problem with drafting Munich Man players is they get the German curse and never play the same as they due for Munich Man. Little Pete becomes Gasoline Man. Dizzy Dean actually becomes Dizzy on the mound and walks everybody. Very frustrating. Note the same does not work in reverse when he steals our players.

TKL's Nightmare!

Postby tkl33 » Fri Nov 11, 2005 12:20 pm

Man this SUCKS big time!

I forgot that I will be out of town all weekend, most likely without any access. No waivers, no frenzy after waivers, just whatever I get in the draft.   :(

Well you guys have fun and maybe leave me one little nugget upon my return Sunday night.

TKL if you send me your account info I will submit waivers for you based on what I think looks best for your team since you are not in my division. I know you said you were going back to an ATGI strategy. Let me know what you'd like and I"ll do my best to set your team up for you.

I have no clue who I picked. I did take Tiger 68, and I think I had Reggie in there somewhere....

I think I went Alexander, Adams, Yount (still messing aound with my Adams based rotations) but I could be mixing up my draft cards.

My draft was entirely based upon the likes of you weasels taking my favorites...

I went with the lesser of evils, and you might still take them. At least I'm not Tim... :P

Just kidding, I'll gladly help you too, Tim, if you need it. I can set up your waivers if you want. I've been in your shoes before, and it does suck. In most leagues, you can make it up without worries, but in this one, you won't. You'll be skewered on a spit, so let one of us fix your problem.
