Why are there no Strat-O-Matic prizes?

Little in life is.
What's could be better than crossed bats in your trophy case?
A myriad of reasons.

Why do people play Strat-O-Matic?

Sometimes I ask myself that very question.....

Well, I don't know what you are expecting as far as prizes......but if you win your league........outside of Fantasim.......you win 2 free Teams for other leagues. The WS loser gets 1 free credit to keep playing.
We all play for the fun and friendship. It does help to play well and get free credits.

With that said, the worst of SOM's games is Fantasim! I believe the winner only gets one free credit and no one else gets anything.....plus it's a boring game!! They need to enhance that game or it will just disappear.....which is OK with me!!

I play Strato because it reminds me of my younger years when I was a pimpled face geek and needed something to keep me quiet for hours on end. I didn't have friends and I got picked on and beat up all the time, so my parents bought me the game and locked me in the basement for days on end to allow my wounds to heal from the beatings I took on the playground...... :x  :?

So as you can see it is a way to remind me of the good ole days.....now I am grown, I live alone and I have wrinkles instead of pimples. I don't have to go to the playground to get picked on.....I just come here and there are a myriad of players out there just waiting to wail on me on these boards. So now I pay my 25 bucks and put together a team and the beatings begin again and the harrassing as well as the public humiliation at the hands of others who find themselves self-important. :x

.......(of course my tongue is firmly implanted in my cheek)

Pride and comraderie and a little fun poking always is fun, cost isn't an issue when you can have good clean fun with some friends and get to dream about being a big league manager like when we were kids.

That's weird.....I thought Puckin was one of the guys beating up the pimpled face geeks at the playgrounds!

Me, on the other hand, was the guy who told the bullies that the geek on the playground over there just called you a wimp and said something about your mama. Then I would go hide in the bushes and watch the ensuing drama! 8)

Oh, by the way, I grew up in small towns in Wisconsin (stoughton) and in Idaho (Burley). StratOMatic is the only thing to do in those towns! :?

Why would they be nervous? They were my strato buddies! They would always start players who sported mutton chop from the 60s and 70s and are probably excited that Mike Lamb is now in the league. They probably start him everyday, even against lefties! Stupid Sheep!
