The 1969 season is fun, but you'll tire of it quickly. I'd say a public league to start, then a couple of theme leagues is about it. There is a good selection of SPs, some top tier guys, but quality relievers are hard to come by -- especially closers. There are also some good sluggers, but middle infield is weak -- especially defensively. A couple of tips: snap up the best middle IFs you can early, because you're going to pile up Es without them. Petrocelli usually is the first to go, so don't bother unless you feel lucky enough to get the No. 1 overall pick. You can find a good ace in the second, or even third rounds -- maybe even on waivers or in frenzy -- and decent SPs in the middle rounds. Best closer I've noticed in seven leagues is Tatum, but he's $6 mil. Best value may be Bouton at $.50 (he's done consistently well for me). Also, not a ton of 600 PA hitters, so be prepared to have quality depth in spots.
