Just to clarify the above discussion: The cards are what they are. TSN will still price them correctly. The deviations from normal that SOM's website talks about is in relation to recreating actual MLB seasons. For example, Russell Branyan is probably getting screwed out of a couple percentage points of natural homerun chances because of the wrong homerun values in Petco being used initially. His card as it stands will be priced correctly by TSN; it's just that his card would have been created with better results if SOM would have had the correct data from the start. If he had a better card though, it would be priced slightly higher by TSN.
The "deviation" from normal is deviation from real MLB results if you replay the Padres' season. Branyan may end up averaging a few SLG. points lower than he accrued in real life. Because the TSN game is not about recreating real MLB seasons, our lives won't be affected.

You're in a keeper league or a Pre-Card league & drafted someone who got screwed out of their real stats....

You are hopelessly inept at calculating these things yourself and thought you understood baseball....

So with all the ballparks basically being equal (+/- 3) then I guess I need to carry eight starters so I can cover all the types of line-ups I'll see with at least two starters. Basically I'll need two each of these:

1) Lefty that gets out lefties for teams who have line-ups with lots of lefties when facing left-handed pitching.

2) Lefty that gets out righties for teams who have line-ups with lots of righties when facing left-handed pitching.

3) Righty that gets out lefties for teams who have line-ups with lots of lefties when facing right-handed pitching.

4) Righty that gets out righties for teams who have line-ups with lots of righties when facing right-handed pitching.

Needless to say I was a fan of the unbalanced park because you cut off half the other team's hitters by using the ballpark to your advantage. This was especially true in parks that favor lefties since there are always very few lefties that can left-handed pitching effectively. Maybe I am simpleton but to me that was just playing smart baseball.

I'd much rather force the other team to play my style of ball rather than keeping a roster of guys to cover all the different possible scenarios that an opposing team could throw at me.
