Strikeouts?

I drafted several players that have ZERO strikeouts (Real Stats). I looked at their cards and there is strikeout as an option. Why do they have strikeouts as an option, if in real life they had none?

Also why do people pick team names like "Bronx Bombers" "Boston Red Sox"?

Come up with something original like me; my team is "Michigan Communists" so I am representing what my Governor is doing to the state. LOL.....

Sorry, who are these mystery players who did not strike out in real life, but have a card in SOM? Several? I'm guessing the exact count would be zero, but I'm willing to listen.

Unless "SO" is SOM jargon for something else....Sacrifice Outs?....no because I can guess Mclain did not have 280 Sacrifice Outs in 68.

Strikeout totals are not available for certain years (not sure which ones), but of course these guys did strike out. I'm guessing these are ATG guys who played in the 1900's. I'd assume that SOM has some method for determining or extrapolating their K totals. Guys just don't bat 500+ times without striking out.

MLB record for fewest Ks in a season is 3, by Joe Sewell in 1932. Sewell was the hardest hitter to KO on MLB history, averaging 1 k every 63 atbats over his career.
