So for the blacklisting we follow the strict letter of what was written ignoring intent(seems that most of the time we did the opposite)? Not sure if I wouldn't have been better off to be non compliant and keep old Pete out for the whole season. Now I get him for less than two weeks and face the prospect of facing him in the playoffs.

I feel better. I said it and that matter is closed. Thanks for your efforts foggy, this has been a bumpy ride even by shifting sands standards.

Agree. Much of the fun for shifting sands is the draft/discussion. That is still the case for me (even for this draft). However, I admit the we shouldn't be allowed to have this much fun and it is time to move to phase 2 on reasonable terms.

is this still applicable?
would suggest the "fine/penalty" be a lil less sinister, like bench your d-h for the series, since most of them are gonna be big guns or extreme platoons, or say the replaceent has to be under 2m, or player with fewest at bats etc, but that's up to the powers that be.
also, to be fair to the incredible geniuses and mad scientists who made it through this bataan death march without a SINGLE mistake...when teams start serving penalties, they shouldn't be served against the same team twice until all compliant teams have benefited atleast once from a penalized team...if there are enough penalties to go around...and I suspect there will be.

and if you think you're having fun now, wait til uncle's rule rob's your best player, and trying to replace him gets you out of ERA, decade, and 24 compliance in one fell swoop.
