I understand that, but I don't think I'm jumping the gun when it's been 9 hours since the last pick. I've made a lot of attempts to get peoples' contact info and to let them know that things are rolling, and I think there's an inherent responsibility to keep up on a league when you sign up. The feedback on contact info has been great from some, and minimal to nonexistent from others, but I've made attempts to contact everyone in this league, at the very least either through PMs or through league mail in other leagues that I'm in with them.
So I'm not trying to be hostile or anything - I'm just trying to do my part to keep this thing moving. I'm not going to make anyone skip anyone, but if the next guy up wants to make a move and it's been 9 hours, then why not? Where do we draw the line? If I get up tomorrow morning and we're still waiting for pick #4, where does that leave us? While I'll certainly concede that we haven't settled on a time limit, part of that is because I haven't received any input from anyone on what they think is reasonable. My original thoughts were, as I remember it, somewhere in the 5-6 hour mark, but I'm going by memory here. Eight hours is borderline, but 9 hours is pushing it and we'll never get this thing rolling if we don't hold ourselves responsible for our role in making things work.
Fellas, I've made several statements explaining the importance of proxy picks. Please please please use other owners as a resource so we can keep things moving. I'm wanting to be more of a facilitator than a pit boss here, but from where I'm at, if denden wants to make a pick, I don't think it's unreasonable for him to do that. If he wants to hold off and wait for a while longer, I'm certainly ok with that too. I'm just saying that it's his right if he wants to.
