Can anyone give me some help or advice with this mediocre team. I satarted off Ok but had a disasterous week last week going 5-16. My away form is shocking but I am good at home. I am doing well pitching wise with ERA and Whip but poor offensively. I don't really want to ditch anyone yet but don't want to continue along these lines. My other 2005 team is suffering a similar fate, constantly being just under .500 but never reaching it. It can't continue!

I am no expert but my opnion:
you have a good team.
Only things I would consider is another left handed bat with
HR power for the shea team in your division and another decent left
handed reliever.

It is a DH league. I originally had Kline as my LH reliever but he was not getting any innings so I got rid of him for Fuentes, hence my having loads of spare cash. I have been contemplating getting rid of Alou for Gload, Morneau or Lamb as DH.

There are a lot of good things about that team except:

Where's my left handed bopper?

A 2nd lefty in the pen wouldn't hurt you (as stated).

Maybe even a cheap platoon LH bat like Sweeney.

Check your R/L splits.
Your pitching is facing a bit more lefties than righties.

I'd look to get a RH that gets lefties out, ie. Ohka/Williams (Cheaper guys)
or get a LH that's tough on lefties. (Washburn) cheap.

Hitting wise, you're seeing ALOT of RH's. You don't need Gload. You are doing OK vs. LH's. Look to get a righty killer. Expensive Sweeney...Cheaper: The other Sweeney or Davanon.

My 2 cents

Lamb hasn't been on the bench; i've only just bought him. I got rid of Alou who was RH and had weak LH power. Lamb is a Lefty and has better power to both sides, BPHR's etc. I need that as I have a Shea in my division and some more in the league. I am using Freel in RF and Lamb is my DH. Wilkerson is CF. I have actually had quite a few injuries so my team has been rather unsettled recently. Kennedy and Wilkerson are down now.

I agree over Clayton but don't know who else to go for. Renatria, Sanchez, Guzman, Cabrera and Crosby are available. Not sure if I could get Rentaria.

Lineups

Vs L

Freel
Varitek
Casey
Lamb
Castilla
Wilkerson
Mohr
Kennedy
Clayton

Vs R
Freel
Mphr
Casey
Lamb
Castilla
Varitek
Wilkerson
Clayton
Kennedy

I'm not too happy having Castilla 5th and thought of Wilkersopn and Varitek, but didn't want too many LHB in a row.
